New idea: Shinsou is supposed to be babysitting Eri but he has to do something so he leaves Denki in charge for a little bit, he comes back expecting the house to be burnt down but instead he finds Eri begging Kaminari to let her re-dirty up her room so they can clean it together again
#kaminari is good with kids i just know it#got this idea while listening to the Mary Poppins classic Spoonful of Sugar#he turns it into a game and she forgets its a chore#at one point he turns it into a race#“if you can clean your side of the room faster than i can clean my side ill get you icecream!”#she excitedly starts cleaning the room and once shes super focused he stops cleaning his side#he was gonna give her ice cream anyway#when she finishes her side he goes “great job! now help me finish my side and we can get some icecream!” and they both work on that side#hes a tricky guy#he may not do great in school but hes still VERY clever#then when theyre done he goes “Okay! While I love the storyline where Alfred was there from day one and helped raise Bruce, I think the original where he’s just some guy who shows up one day and Bruce and Dick just have to cope is extremely funny

Oh buddy boy
I've had a lot of talks with various people about Ryker's current state with his ability to learn and focus during his current teenagehood.
His drive to work has plummeted. Anything that's not tug or chase type play he doesn't really want to do it. I chose the bad path of trying to keep working on things, working on trying to keep things easy and fun but it still has stressed him out.
Food refusal is becoming more common, signs of stress with any training scenario, and overall harm to our relationship. What I thought was slow moving with training isn't slow enough for him. I've been taking things so much slower with him than I did Aayla. Yet it hasn't been enough. I think I've been getting more frustrated with him and while I try and not let that affect my training, I know it does. He is so very sensitive.
So we are going to be taking a break from anything beyond the essentials of continuing LLW, ability to disengage from dogs, and husbandry needs. He has been thoroughly enjoying our agility class so we will keep doing that but that is it. No more obedience for now, no more tricks or anything like that. Just structured play, maintaining good dog skills and letting him mentally mature a bit more.
I need to focus on Aayla for nationals and need to reset myself anyways. I need to get a better relationship with Ryker and let go of my dreams and goals for right now. Maybe he won't be a great sport dog and that will be okay. He is a great family member and gets along so well with everyone.

hmm, random thoughts about the FXMQ... a silly headcanon: Feng Xin has very much been hoisted by his own petard by heckling Mu Qing! That is to say, he'll harass Mu Qing relentlessly about something stupid only to be confronted with a similar situation and realise that there's absolutely NO way he can act in anyway similar to Mu Qing or he'll never hear the end of it.
(For example, he has tolerated some truly atrocious divine statues in the past because he's heckled Mu Qing so much about how picky he is with his divine statues that there's no WAY he can say ANYTHING without seeing that smug bastard's face in his head so he just has to bite his tongue and tolerate some unspeakably ugly statues.)
Mu Qing doesn't generally suffer from similar overthinking (he'll just prepare to kick FX's ass if he dares to say anything about it) except for things more directly related to himself. I think he genuinely finds sewing/embroidery/etc rather relaxing work but he'd rather die than have anyone ever see him do it because he's made such a big deal about not doing that sort of "servant" work anymore.
(He actually really enjoyed stitching Ruoye back together because it gave him the perfect excuse -- he's returning a favour!! and Xie Lian is hopeless!! of course he had to!! -- and he secretly considered using white thread to embroider some invisible little designs just because he doesn't quite want to stop... only he knew he'd get caught if he messed with Xie Lian's spiritual device like that and gave up the idea)

I'm picking up some rats next Friday! I'm so excited! No idea what exactly I'll be coming home with but the rescue has several options for me. All I know is I'll be taking home 3 of them.
